Hurray!

Finally another scrappy project!

Actually this is my second mini album for the year, I forgot to take a photo of the first one I did last Feb.  Most of my friends are now moving forward to another journey, they either migrate to other countries or retire back home for good.  Change is inevitable, my time will come ;)

Here's a little memento to remember the good times.

I love my zutter
More than 20 pages!
I love adding trinkets

We will miss them dearly
Indeed!

I will remember :)
We added instax photos together with our thoughts in this mini.

I'm still honing my sewing skills in making doll clothes, more doll stuff coming soon =)

DIY shoes makeover

Another DIY,  these rubi shoes were on sale for SGD5 so I cave in.  Another pair to add into my pile of unused shoes.

For a little cuteness, I added polka-dots using the eraser from the pencil as a stamp and some Martha Stewart craft paint.  I only have gold and silver so I decided to go with the silver.  I think it's cute!

I'm definitely going to wear this one this weekend! Hello summer!

DIY Barbie outfits!

Here's another hand stitched Barbie outfit, blouse, shorts and headband, the bag is machine stitched.

Yep my sewing machine is back from the cold and dark storage room.  Started sewing again!

Pink polka dress.  The stitches are still sloppy so I added the white trim to tighten her waist, the back can be closed with velcro

Summer polka dot bikini!  Again another blooper, that ruffled trim on her bikini is supposed to be front and back but made a mistake and stitched the wrong side!

Practice makes perfect so I will try to recreate these outfits for my Pullip dolls! I hope Barbie doesn't get mad since I'm using her as a guinea pig LOL.

I broke a needle in the process and was very annoyed that the thread kept on breaking.  Blame it on myself since I used the cheap brands from Daiso LOL

Am still scrapblocked!  I need to do an XL LO with a Hollywood/Oscars theme, can't seem to figure out how to begin *sigh*

DIY miniature house - Forest Dream

I'm in the "toy" phase so I've been searching some stuff for a DIY dollhouse and stumbled into this miniature.  It is a 1:144 scale, yes that small!

I thought it would only take me 5 hours to complete but I underestimated the complexity of the DIY kit, or maybe I overestimated my capabilities LOL  First challenge was the manual which is written in Chinese, though there were illustrations I still mixed up the pieces.

Second challenge are the tiny furniture.  The hardest part for me was the tiny kettle.  I could have left it as a small bead but I insisted on adding the handle.

I did enjoy making those small books for the book case.

Third challenge was the balcony, after 3 tries I finally stopped and let it be LOL

Fourth challenge was the lighting, I hate this part, I'm more of a carpenter than an electrician. I think this is the part where I almost gave up.  Finally made it work with my perseverance LOL

The thing  I enjoyed most are the trees, with the swing and the picnic setting.  It's made of wire, paper twine, sticks and dried plants.

Note: these cute bunnies are not included in the kit, it's from my pocket sylvanian house ;)

I used the wrong material for the leaves but I liked it anyway ;)

Final challenge is the assembly of the 3-level house, with the light.

The assembly inside the glass ball was the easiest part and the most exciting one since it's the last part of my DIY journey =D

I completed this project in 3 days, approximately 5 hours per day, yes I'm that slow LOL
Can't help peeking through the house from time to time.

I found a video in you tube on the process of making this DIY miniature house.  She was awesome in the process and made it look easy.   She skipped the trees but basically the process is just like how I did it.  If you're interested,  I  bought this kit at Qoo10 for SGD26 including shipping.

I'll definitely get another kit but not so soon, if ever this is my next choice.  The version of the house in "UP" movie, so cute!

Just some updates from my Lala land.

I recently purchased a Re-ment set so I might as well showcase them with my mini Lala
Ace got a new toy!

Bday Party

Play time

I want some cookie

I want orange juice

gummy love

I'm trying my best to control my shopaholic persona and not give-in to ebay purchase for series 12 and 13.  They are quite pricey plus shipping cost!  Sad thing is they usually arrive in SG way too late that is if they even arrive here.  Anyway I'm coming back home soon so I'm wishing and hoping those series will be available in Manila.

As for the Target exclusives I'm still looking for a good deal in Ebay and Amazon, ahhh too much spending.
The mini Lalaloopsy models... until our next photoshoot ;)
